Google Affiliate Network - Will it Change the Way You Advertise?

If you read my previous article on Google building a silent affiliate network, you would have a surprise. It appears to be the my prediction of Google moving into affiliate programs proved to be right. Let PPA Network explain.
Google had bought over DoubleClick some time back. DoubleClick had an affiliate network called"Connect Commerce". Google now announced to the AdWords advertisers that they will be phasing out PPA by end of August and instead advertisers can now look to market on the Google Affiliate Network.
If You're new to affiliate marketing here is a quick synopsis:
Its an everyday cold cream.
2) Tim using different marketing methods such as PPC, SEO etc., but wants to sell more.
3) He is ready to pay upto 20% of the sale worth to anyone who will sell it to get him.
4) Jill on the other hand, does not own a item, but she is great at marketing. She's looking to promote other people's merchandise.
5) Jill can currently sign up as an"affiliate" (classically, a"commission agent") for BodySoft using Tim and sell his merchandise.
6) Every time Jill sells a BodySoft jar, Tim pays her 20%.
It follows that almost any AdWords advertiser now has the chance to tap into the enormous power of affiliate advertising without the hassles normally associated with it, like recruiting dozens of affiliates, monitoring every sale and action, accounting them appropriately and finally paying them. Is entire (and quite clumsy and sometimes painful) process of affiliate marketing has been taken away by Google with its new offering.
I've had moderate success with PPA campaigns and its set to get much better. I will be keeping a close eye on it for one to let you know how the Google Affiliate Network is shaping up.
